Bundle options are not showing on the product page

You created a bundle offer, but the product page shows only the subscription options, or nothing at all. This guide walks through every cause we see, in the order worth checking. Most take under a minute to fix.

Bundle options appear on the product pages your offer applies to, above the add to cart button. The app does not create a new "bundle product" anywhere, so there is no separate bundle page or listing to look for.

Table of contents

Quick checklist

  1. Design shows no Enable widget button (the widget is on).
  2. The offer's Offer type is Bundle or Bundle + Subscription, not Subscription.
  3. The offer's Status is Published.
  4. The product you are looking at is in the offer's Applies to list (and, if you picked variants, so is the variant selected on the page).
  5. Every Fixed bundle and Build your own bundle option has products in it, and those products are Active, on the Online Store sales channel, and in stock.
  6. No other offer with bundle options applies to the same product.

Each point is explained below.

The widget is not switched on

Nothing from the app shows on your storefront, bundle options included, until the widget is switched on in your theme.

  1. Go to Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Design.
  2. If you see an Enable widget button at the top, or a Your widgets are not live yet banner, click Enable widget.
  3. Shopify's theme editor opens with the app embed switched on. Click Save there.
  4. Reload your product page.

The widget places itself above the add to cart button on its own, on every theme. You do not need to add a theme block for bundle options to show. See How to Enable the Subscription Widget in the Online Store.

Keep the app embed switched on even if you also placed the Subscriptions + Bundles block in your theme. The two do not show the widget twice.

The offer is a Subscription offer

An offer of type Subscription has no bundle options, so it only ever shows subscription options. This is the most common cause when "only the subscription widget shows".

  1. Go to Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Offers and open the offer.
  2. In the Offer type card, choose Bundle + Subscription (to keep the subscription options) or Bundle (bundles bought one-time only).
  3. A Bundle options section appears with a starting option. Set it up the way you want, or click Add bundle option to add more.
  4. Click Save.

The offer is set to Draft

A Draft offer is taken off every product it applies to. New offers start as Published, so this usually means someone switched it to Draft to pause it.

  1. Open the offer from Offers.
  2. In the side card, set Status to Published.
  3. Click Save and reload the product page.

The product is not in Applies to

Bundle options only show on the products the offer applies to. Open the offer and check Offer details > Applies to:

  • All products: the options show on every product page.
  • Specific products: the product must be in the list. If the list is empty the offer saves, but the editor shows This offer applies to nothing and the options show nowhere. Pick at least one product, or switch to All products.
  • Variants: a product with several variants shows a link such as 2/5 variants under its name. If you picked only some variants, the options show only while one of those variants is selected on the product page. Click the link to add the others.
  • Specific collections: the options show on products that were in the collection when you last saved. After you add products to a collection, go to Offers and click Refresh in the Collection products card. For an automated collection you can also open the offer and click Sync now under Automated collections. If the Offers page shows a Some offers are not discounting banner, the collection could not be read: check it still exists, or target the products directly instead.

The product a customer is looking at must be in Applies to. The products inside a Fixed bundle or Build your own bundle option do not need to be, they are picked on the option itself.

An option has no products in it

A Fixed bundle or Build your own bundle option with an empty product list has nothing to sell. This happens most often right after starting from a ready-made bundle, before you picked your own products.

  1. Open the offer and click the option's row to open it.
  2. For a Fixed bundle, check the Bundle products list and use Add a product to fill it.
  3. For a Build your own bundle, check Products customers can choose from in each group, and the Starting items the box opens with.
  4. For a Buy X, get Y option with Reward products set to Specific products, check that list too.
  5. Click Save.

A product in the bundle is out of stock or not for sale

Shoppers can only buy what your store is selling right now.

  • Draft, archived, or not on the Online Store. Every product in a bundle must be Active in Shopify and available on your Online Store sales channel. A product you duplicate in Shopify starts as a Draft. In a build your own bundle or a reward list, a product like that shows as Unavailable, and the offer editor adds a red note under it saying what to change. Set it to Active in Shopify and reload the product page.
  • Sold out in a fixed bundle. A fixed bundle is bought as a whole set, so when any product in it is sold out the bundle cannot go into the cart. The option does not show a sold-out message, the add to cart just does not go through. Restock the product, turn on Continue selling when out of stock for it in Shopify, or remove it from the bundle (or narrow its variants to ones in stock).
  • Sold out in a build your own bundle. A product that is sold out in every variant cannot be picked, and a starting item your store cannot sell right now leaves its slot empty.

For what happens to existing subscriptions when a product runs out, see Out of Stock Settings.

Another offer is showing instead

A product shows the bundle options of one offer. If two offers with bundle options both apply to the same product (for example one on All products and one on a specific product), only one of them shows, normally the one created first, so your new offer can look like it is not working.

  1. In Offers, look for other offers of type Bundle or Bundle + Subscription that apply to the same product, including ones set to All products or to a collection the product is in.
  2. Remove the product from the offer you do not want on it, or set that offer's Status to Draft.
  3. Click Save and reload the product page.

Offers limited to different variants of the same product are the exception: each shows while its own variants are selected. See A product in more than one offer.

An old bundle created with the retired Product bundle flow still appears in Offers with a Product bundle badge. If a bundle option you cannot find in any offer shows on a product, contact support and we will track it down.

The options are there, but in the wrong place

  • At the bottom of the page, or twice: see The subscription widget appears twice or at the bottom of the page.
  • Below the subscription options instead of above them: go to Design > Elements > Page layout and turn on Bundle on top. Turn it off to put the subscription widget first.
  • No heading above the options: the heading is on by default. Its words are the offer's Bundle name (open the offer, Bundle options section), and whether it shows is Design > Elements > Bundle options > Heading.

Wholesale (B2B) customers do not see the bundle options

A bundle option with Hide for B2B customers turned on is hidden from customers buying for a company, and if every option is set that way the whole bundle is hidden for them. To check, open the offer and click the option's row: under its main fields, each of its other settings is a small chip that names it and, once it is on, shows On or its value (for example Hide for B2B customers On). Clicking the chip opens the option's Additional settings with that setting expanded, where you can switch it off. If you test while logged in to a B2B customer account, log out or use a private window. See Selling subscriptions with B2B, Markets, and multiple currencies.

Your plan's subscription limit has been reached

When your store has more active subscriptions than your plan allows, the app shows a banner saying so and hides the widget, bundle options included, from your storefront until you upgrade. Plans are listed on our pricing page and under Billing in the app.

We may also ask for access to your store: see Giving our support team access to your store. Some themes and page builders need a small adjustment on our side, which we do for you.

Common questions

I created a bundle but only the subscription widget shows. Why?
Most often the offer's Offer type is Subscription, which has no bundle options. Change it to Bundle + Subscription and save. Otherwise check the offer is Published and applies to that product. See The offer is a Subscription offer.

Does the app create a new product for my bundle?
No. Bundle options show on your existing product pages. If you want one page just for the bundle, create a normal Shopify product for it and point the offer at that product. See Giving a bundle its own product page.

The bundle options show on some products in my collection but not on new ones.
The offer uses the products that were in the collection when you last saved. Click Refresh in the Collection products card on the Offers page.

The bundle option shows, but clicking add to cart does nothing.
Check every product in that option is Active, on the Online Store, and in stock (a sold-out product blocks a fixed bundle). If they are, contact support with the product link.

I cannot add a product to my offer, or it shows as unavailable.
The product is probably a Draft. Set it to Active and make it available on the Online Store sales channel in Shopify, then add it again.

Can I see the bundle options before I publish?
The preview on the offer's page shows how the options will look while you edit. The live product page shows them only while the offer is Published.
