Selling subscriptions with B2B, Markets, and multiple currencies
Supr Bundles & Subscriptions works for the vast majority of Shopify stores, but a few questions about B2B, Markets, and multiple currencies come up often. This guide explains what's supported, what isn't, and the recommended workarounds.

B2B / wholesale
Products bought through Shopify's B2B features cannot be bought on subscription. This is a limitation of the Shopify platform, not the app: Shopify only allows one-time purchases on B2B orders, so the subscription options are not available to B2B buyers (you may see a "Only one-time purchase is available for B2B orders" message).
If you need recurring orders for wholesale customers, the usual approach is to run them through your regular (DTC) storefront rather than Shopify's B2B channel, and limit the subscription options to those customers with tags (below).
Bundle discounts on B2B orders
Bundle options are different from subscription options: because a bundle can be bought one-time, its discount does apply to B2B orders by default. Your B2B customers are usually already buying at a company catalog price, so a quantity break on top of that is a second discount you may not have intended.
Each bundle option decides this for itself:
- Go to Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Offers and open the offer.
- Click the bundle option to open it. Under its main fields, each of its other settings is a small chip that names it and, once it is on, shows On or its value. Click Hide for B2B customers: the option's Additional settings section opens with that setting expanded.
- Turn on Hide for B2B customers.
With it turned on, B2B shoppers do not see that option on the product page, and its discount (including any free shipping it grants) is not applied in the cart or at checkout. Everyone shopping your regular storefront is unaffected.
Because the setting is per option, you can hide only the tiers you want to. A common setup is to hide your deepest option from wholesale and leave the smaller ones available to everyone: a B2B customer who buys enough to reach the hidden option simply gets the best option you did leave visible, rather than losing the bundle discount altogether. If you hide every option in an offer, B2B shoppers see no bundle option on that product at all.
Restricting subscriptions to certain customers
You don't need B2B to offer subscriptions to a specific group (members, VIPs, wholesale-style buyers), or to keep a group away from them. On any subscription option:
- Go to Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Offers and open an offer.
- Open the subscription option and click Customer eligibility.
- Turn on Customer eligibility.
- Under Who can subscribe, choose:
- All logged-in customers
- Customers with at least one of these tags
- Customers without any of these tags
- For the tag choices, enter the Customer tags (comma-separated; they must match the customer's tags exactly, including capital letters) and save the offer.
For example, to keep a subscription option away from your wholesale buyers, choose Customers without any of these tags and enter your wholesale tag. See A Beginner's Guide to Subscription Offers.
Markets and multiple currencies
Customers can subscribe in the currencies your store presents with Shopify Markets, and they are billed in the currency they checked out in.
- Offers are the same in every market. An offer and its options show wherever the product is sold. You cannot yet show a different offer, or hide an offer, per market. You can suggest it on the Feature requests page in the app.
- Currency on the widget. Prices in the widget and bundle options follow the shopper's currency. To always show the currency code (for example $24.00 USD rather than $24.00), turn on Currency code on prices under Design > Add-on settings. If the widget shows the wrong currency for a market, contact support with the product link and the market.
- Switching subscription options in the customer portal is for your default currency only. The customer portal setting Change subscription plans (in Settings > Customer portal > Subscription management), which lets subscribers switch to another subscription option themselves, only works for subscriptions in your store's default currency. Customers in other currencies can still pause, skip, cancel, update products, and so on.
Discounts in other currencies
- Percentage discounts work from the price in each market, so they suit multi-currency stores best.
- Amount off and Fixed price values are entered in your store's default currency, and Shopify converts them for other currencies. You cannot set a different amount or fixed price per market. If the converted amounts do not suit a market, use a Percentage discount instead.
Amount off and fixed price bundle options are converted the same way. For loyalty rewards on subscriptions in other currencies, use Percentage Change discount rewards.
Price changes for subscribers in other currencies
If you choose Prices are updated automatically as they change under Automatic price updates in Settings > Billing and renewals, a subscription in another currency is repriced from the product's price in that subscriber's market (based on their delivery country), not from your default currency price. Common questions
Can B2B customers buy on subscription?
No. Shopify only allows one-time purchases on B2B orders. Sell wholesale subscriptions through your regular storefront and use Customer eligibility with customer tags.
How do I stop B2B customers from seeing bundle discounts?
On each bundle option, click Hide for B2B customers and turn it on.
How do I hide a subscription option from wholesale customers?
On the subscription option, click Customer eligibility and turn it on, then choose Customers without any of these tags and enter your wholesale tag.
Does Amount off work per market currency?
It is set in your default currency and Shopify converts it for other currencies. You cannot enter a separate amount per market. Use Percentage for multi-currency stores.
Can I show different offers in different markets?
Not yet. Offers show in every market where the product is sold.
Why can't my customers in other currencies switch subscription options in the portal?
The Change subscription plans portal setting only works for subscriptions in your store's default currency.
