Translations

To access this page, open Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Settings > Translations and choose a language. Click a category, Offers, Widgets, Online store customer portal (legacy), Subscription portal or Notifications, to open its translation editor.

Use this editor to translate the text customers read into your store's other languages: your offers, the subscription and bundle widgets, the customer portal and the emails. A top bar lets you switch languages or categories, a sidebar lists the translatable resources, and the main area holds the labels in editable tables. Translation is done here in the app, not with Shopify's Translate & Adapt app or your theme's language files.

This page translates your store's other languages. It needs at least two published languages, and your default language never appears in the dropdown. To change the wording customers read in your default language, see Editing original language labels at the end of this guide.

Language and category selectors

At the top of the editor you can pick a language and switch between categories without returning to the main Translations page.

  • Language

Choose from your store languages. Only non-default languages appear in the dropdown.

  • Translation group

Jump between Offers, Widgets, Customer portal (legacy), Subscription portal, or Notifications.

There is no separate group for bundles: the text you wrote on a bundle offer is under Offers, and the bundle labels the app prints are under Widgets.

Translatable resources

The sidebar lists the specific resources inside each category.

  • For Offers, each offer has one tab holding all of its text: the offer name and one-time purchase row, the subscription and each subscription option, and each bundle option. Subscription and bundle offers are translated in the same place.
  • For Widgets, tabs represent each widget design, followed by Bundle option labels and Bundle discount for the bundle options.
  • For Notifications, tabs list every email template.
  • For Customer portal (legacy) there is a single group of labels. Subscription portal has two: its labels, and Cancellation and pause flows, with a section for each of your flows.

Select a resource to load its translation sections in the main panel.

Editing labels

  1. Locate the text you want to translate in the table under its section heading. The left-hand column shows your default language.
  2. Enter the new wording in the right-hand column.
  3. Save with the save bar before you switch to another group or language. The updated labels show on the widgets, emails or portal according to the category.

Leave a row empty and customers see the wording in the left-hand column.

A translation here wins over the default language wording for that language. If a translation does not show on your storefront, reload the product page in that language; if it still does not show, message us with the page link.

Applying language defaults

The app ships with ready-made wording for every label it prints itself (the widget and bundle labels, the add-on texts, the customer portal and the email templates) in 34 languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

To apply it:

  1. On the main Translations page, click Use language defaults at the top.
  2. Click Apply defaults in the dialog.

For your other languages it only fills in what is missing and never overwrites a translation you have saved, so it is safe to run again after you add a new language. Text you wrote yourself, such as your offer, option and bundle titles, is not touched: only the app's own labels have defaults.

It also applies to your store's default language, and there it replaces rather than fills: your Design > Labels wording, the texts in Design > Add-on settings (such as the add to cart button text) and your email subjects, texts and shared email labels go back to the built-in wording in that language. If you have reworded those, note your wording before you apply defaults.

Delivery and billing frequency in your language

The Subscription portal labels include the words for the delivery and billing frequency, so "Delivery every {{frequency}}" reads to a customer as "Delivery every 4 weeks". Several languages change the noun with the number, and in those you will see extra rows, each headed with the counts it covers:

  • N weeks (2 to 4) in Polish, Czech, Slovak, Russian, Ukrainian, Croatian and Serbian, so "2 tygodnie" against "5 tygodni".
  • N weeks (exactly 2) in Slovene, which has a form of its own for two.
  • N weeks (ending in 1, not 11) in Russian, Ukrainian, Croatian and Serbian, so "21 неделя" against "25 недель".
  • N weeks (2 to 19) in Romanian, which adds "de" from 20 upwards.

The plain N weeks row covers every count the others do not. Fill in only the rows your language offers you and the app picks the right one for each number. The unnumbered week row is the word on its own, for a subscription that renews every single week.

The same rows appear on the portal's Labels page for your default language.

Translating bundle labels

The Bundle option labels tab in the Widgets category covers the text the app generates around your bundle options, not the text you typed yourself. It is split into three sections:

  • Bundle option labels, the heading above the bundle options, the single option name, the savings chip, the per-unit price suffix, and the free gift and free shipping labels shown on a bundle option.
  • Build-a-box labels, everything a build-a-box option prints around its choices: the 'Includes' heading, the heading above a set of choices, the pick prompts, the selection counter, and the message shown when a shopper has not picked enough.
  • Reward and free gift labels, the headings above Buy X Get Y rewards and chosen free gifts, plus the 'Free' price shown on each one.

Some of these labels contain placeholders in curly brackets. Keep the placeholders in your translation, and move them wherever the sentence needs them:

  • {value} in the savings chip, replaced with the discount.
  • {count} for how many items the customer has picked, {min} and {max} for a group's limits, and {remaining} for how many more are still needed.
  • {pick} in the selection counter, replaced with the pick prompt.

The selection counter is the small line above a build-a-box group's products. By default it reads {count} / {max} · {pick}, which a shopper sees as "0 / 2 · Pick 2". Because the whole line is a single label, you can reorder it, change the separator, or drop the pick prompt entirely, so it reads naturally in each language.

The wording you wrote yourself is translated with its offer, in the Offers category: option titles, subtitles, descriptions, custom badges, savings text, and the heading above each build-a-box group you named yourself.

Build-a-box group headings work in one of two ways, depending on whether you filled in Group name on the bundle option:

  • You left it empty. Every shopper sees the shared 'heading above a set of choices' from the Build-a-box labels section, so translating it once covers every bundle option that uses it.
  • You named the group, for example 'Choose your coffee'. That name belongs to the offer, so it is translated on the offer's tab in Offers, under the bundle option it belongs to.

Editing original language labels

Use these pages to translate only. To change the original text in your store's default language, update it at its source. How to Change/Translate Main Language Texts walks through each one.

  • Offers and options

Open the Offers page, select an offer and edit the offer, subscription option, bundle option or one-time purchase row texts.

  • Widgets and bundle option labels

Open the Design page and change the wording in its Labels card. The add to cart button text, the subscription badge and the delivery date wording are in the Add-on settings card on the same page.

  • Subscription portal

Open Settings > Customer portal and click Labels on the Customer accounts page card. Every text a customer reads in the portal is there, grouped and searchable, with our wording shown in grey in each empty field. This works on a store with a single language too. The menus Shopify draws around the portal, such as More actions, come from Shopify's own translations and are not listed.

  • Notifications
You need your own sender address, verified, to edit these texts. See Choose who your emails come from.

Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications. The template texts are split in two pages:

  1. To edit common email texts: click Customize email templates.
  2. To edit template specific texts: click any template and edit its Subject and Main text there.

  • Customer portal (legacy)

From the Settings > Customer portal page, with Legacy online store portal selected, click Customize on the Online store portal theme card, then Labels.

Common questions

The Translations page is greyed out or says "Your store needs at least 2 languages". What do I do?
Add and publish a second language in Shopify first. To change text in your main language, edit it at its source, see How to Change/Translate Main Language Texts.

Where do I translate my bundle texts? There is no Bundles group.
Text you wrote on the offer (option titles, badges, the bundle heading) is under Offers. Text the app prints around the bundle options ("Save {value}%", "Free gift", "Pick 2") is under Widgets > Bundle option labels.

Can I translate the widget with Translate & Adapt or my theme's language files?
No, translate it here. Translate & Adapt only covers Shopify's own text, such as the frame around the customer portal.

Is my language supported?
The app's own labels ship in the 34 languages listed in Applying language defaults. Any other language can be typed in by hand.

Is the customer portal translated automatically?
It arrives in your store's languages, and you can reword any line: your main language in Settings > Customer portal > Labels, other languages here under Subscription portal.
