# Staff Permissions

Staff permissions let you decide what each member of your team can see and change in Supr Bundles & Subscriptions. A support agent can pause and skip subscriptions without touching your offers or billing, and someone who only reads your reports can look without changing anything.

Until you set them up, every staff member who can open the app can see and change everything in it, as before.

## Set up staff permissions

1. Go to **Supr Bundles & Subscriptions > Settings > Staff permissions**.
2. Click **Set up staff permissions**.
3. Check the roles, choose a **Default role** and give staff their own role (see below).
4. Click **Save**.

Nothing changes for anyone until you save. Only the store owner can set this up the first time.

## Roles

A role says, for each area of the app, whether someone has **No access**, **View** or **Edit**. Edit includes view.

| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Offers | Offers, subscription options and bundle options |
| Subscriptions | The Subscriptions page, each subscription, and creating or importing subscriptions |
| Design | The widget and bundle designs |
| Grow | Loyalty, upsells, cancellation and pause flows |
| Analytics | Every report, including Cohorts |
| Settings | Every page under Settings, except Billing and Staff permissions |
| Billing | Your plan |

Four roles are ready to use, and you can change or delete each of them:

* **Admin**: edits everything and manages staff permissions.
* **Manager**: edits everything except settings (view only) and billing (no access).
* **Support agent**: edits subscriptions, views offers, Grow and Analytics, and has no access to Design, Settings or Billing.
* **Viewer**: views everything except billing, and changes nothing.

To make your own, click **Add role**, give it a name and choose the access for each area. Turn on **Can manage staff permissions** to let the role open this page and change roles.

## Default role and each staff member's role

The **Default role** applies to every staff member without a role of their own, including anyone who opens the app for the first time. Leave it on **Full access** to change nothing for them.

Under **Staff**, pick a role for each person. Staff appear in this list after they first open the app.

## What staff see

* An area their role leaves out disappears from the app's menu, and opening it shows a page that says their role does not include it.
* On a view only page they see a **View only** notice and no Save button. If they try a change anyway, it is refused.
* The store owner always has full access and can always open Staff permissions. Nobody can save a change that removes their own access to this page.

## Turn staff permissions off

At the bottom of **Settings > Staff permissions**, click **Turn off** and confirm. Everyone gets full access again and your roles are deleted.

## Common questions

**Does this change what staff can do in Shopify itself?** No. It only applies inside Supr Bundles & Subscriptions. What staff can do in your Shopify admin is set in Shopify under **Settings > Users**.

**Can our support team still help us?** Yes. When you ask us for help, our team works through our own support access, which staff permissions do not limit.
