# How to share your online store password with support

Sometimes, the Supr Bundles & Subscriptions support team may ask for your online store password. This typically happens if your store is password-protected or still in development, and we need to look at the subscription widget on your storefront to troubleshoot it. This guide shows where to find the password so you can share it with us.

### Why we request your online store password

| Don't worry! The online store password is not linked to your Shopify account and only allows us to view your store to troubleshoot. It does not give us access to make any changes.

Sometimes, merchants encounter issues with the way our subscription widget displays or functions within their online store. If your store is password-protected, such as when it is still under development, we cannot open it to see the problem. Sharing the password enables us to view your store and help resolve the issue.

### How to find your online store password

Follow these steps to locate your store's password and share it with our team:

1. In your Shopify admin, navigate to the **Online Store** section.

2. Once in the Online Store section, go to **Preferences**.

3. Click the **See store password** button located at the top banner. This will automatically scroll down to the "Password protection" box.

4. Copy the text found in the "Password" field and paste it into the live chat with your support agent.

### Store password or collaborator access?

The store password only lets us **see** your storefront. When we need to look inside your Shopify admin or theme, for example to check your theme editor or set something up for you, we ask for **collaborator access** instead. ### Common questions

* **Where do I find my storefront password?**
  In your Shopify admin under **Online Store > Preferences**, in the **Password protection** box.
* **Is this my Shopify login password?**
  No. Never share your Shopify login. The storefront password only opens your store's front end for visitors.
* **My store is not password-protected. Do you still need it?**
  No. If your store is open to the public, we can already see it.
* **I can't find the password.**
  Send us a message in live chat and we will help you find it.
